NIU has been in the Nepalese market for 5 years now with over 2100 units scooting around the Nepali streets. Continuing its fast pace expansion drive, NIU Nepal has been able to expand to Butwal, Birtamode, Pokhara and is now all set to start operations in Boudha, Kathmandu. Furthermore, NIU is also planning to inaugurate flagship stores in Teku and Itahari within a month.
NIU has maintained a fast pace of growth and has sold an accumulation of over 1 million smart electric two-wheeler vehicles worldwide. NIU has expanded into 38 countries with retail stores across cities in Asia, Europe, and Latin America. NIU also continues to expand support for sharing businesses globally with 20 sharing operators in 13 countries providing SaaS solutions for electric two-wheelers.
An average person saves an estimated Rs 60,000 per year by switching to NIU from petrol scooters saving on fuel costs and servicing costs, says the company. Not only are you saving the environment and money for yourself, but you’re also saving yourself a whole lot of time that you would have spent cluttered in petrol queues.
NIU Nepal currently has a streamlined product portfolio consisting of seven series, NQi, MQi, UQi, NIU Aero, Gova, RQi, and TQi, with multiple models and specifications for end consumers such as NIU Power accessories and NIU AERO outdoor sports bicycles.
All NIU vehicles are linked to the NIU Cloud allowing customers to be connected to their vehicle 24/7 through an Android or iPhone app. Customers can check their battery status, view their riding history, locate their vehicle, and be alerted of any unauthorized movement of their scooter. Similarly, the NIU Smart E-scooters are the first to pass the roadworthiness test to get the number plate.
